Expression
An expression is work that needs more than text to land on a page: image, sound, motion, light, a visual system, something you experience before you parse it as an argument. It is not a shorter or longer version of writing. It is a different mode of showing up. This section is also work in progress: I still need time to unload the past into this new model on the website.
On this site, expressions are listed on expressions.
A Blog post explains the idea behind the work. A Note might point at it in one line. An expression is the artifact itself, or the closest thing the site can hold of it: the file, the embed, the loop, the still.
I design a lot for no immediate reason. That is valid here. Not everything has to become portfolio proof or a case study. It could be experiments, captures, references, images for the sake of images.
If text is the default public layer, expression is the parallel one.
