Gordo

Sergio Gordo is a Spanish architect, artist, designer, producer, dj and programmer. He focuses his artistic practice on creating total works of art, Gesamtkunstwerk, where architecture, sound, technology, and design converge to transform collective experience into participatory artworks. His practice centers on the spectator as the essential creative force, he conceives art only as a collective experience; there is no art without interaction.

As a musician, DJ, and audio producer, he has built audio pieces for independent artists and collaborative projects, appearing at Flora festival and creating custom-made conceptual soundscapes for artworks. His DJ practice navigates styles through progressive long sets that dissolve a sense of time through evolving styles, creating deep listening experiences across house, deep house, minimal, techno, dub techno, fusion, acid, and jazz, there is no style but the experience.

His artistic practice spans from architecture art installations, to generative art, to electronic music culture spaces, blockchain-based artworks, interactive installations, and light art. Central to his work is the role of the spectator as an integral source of the artwork itself, interactivity is not merely an element but the foundation through which sound, light, space, and code converge to create participatory experiences that exist only through collective engagement. His expertise in stage design and light design forms a fundamental pillar of this practice, where spatial architecture and luminous choreography create environments that transform collective experience.

Gordo is also a thought leader in state-of-the-art applied technology, focusing on governance, voting, and identity to build fairer economic systems that permit the removal of established power structures into empowering the edges.
